Job description

Title: Transmission Line Project Manager
Location: Canby, OR


Wilson Construction Company (Wilson) has an immediate opening in our Canby, OR office for an experienced, mid to upper level, Transmission Project Manager with a positive, results-oriented attitude and the willingness to provide valuable input to our project teams. Successful candidates should have relevant experience in construction management for large-scale electrical utility construction projects.  Our ideal candidate will be an organized and motivated self-starter.


This Project Manager’s responsibilities include working closely with project teams to produce written documentation for large, fast-paced electrical utility transmission construction projects.  Duties will include developing, planning, coordinating, financial control, and fulfilling technical requirements related to assigned proposals and projects.


Requirements:
•    Five years of office management, field management or technical experience related to electrical utility construction;
•    Five years of experience as a project manager on electrical utility projects;
•    Background in project scheduling and work plan development;   
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, construction management or equivalent work experience;
•    Proficiency in MS Office.  Microsoft Project and Primavera skills are beneficial;
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills; 
•    Strong attention to detail;
•    Willingness to work outside and travel as required;
•    This position will be based in Canby, Oregon.  Candidates must reside within a reasonable driving distance from the office or be willing to relocate.


Tasks include producing daily documents for submittal to the customer, time sheet management, completion tracker updates, job cost reports for  management, leading project meetings, updating project schedules for submittal to customer, invoicing, change order requests, and cashflow reporting. The candidate must possess the ability to coordinate project communication interdepartmentally, with the project owner when appropriate, and all while professionally representing the company during daily project tasks and activities.


Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
