Job description

Prepares, organizes and monitors the sterile field environment under the direction of a Radiologist and registered imaging technologist for assigned biopsy procedures. The biopsy tech assistant is responsible for setting up the procedure room for Stereotactic, Ultrasound and MRI guided biopsy and Wire Needle Localization. Maintains equipment and supply inventory to ensure optimal safety, efficiency, and timely response to patient care needs within the department. Biopsy tech assistant will assist the radiologist and technologist as needed and directed.Estimated pay range for this position is $19.44 - $25.27 / hour depending on experience.

Degrees:

  • High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Six month experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Minimum Required Experience: 1 Year
