Help A Child Smile, a school-based mobile dental practice, is seeking a Expanded Duties Dental Assistant in Carlton, GA and surrounding areas to help provide dental care to underserved children at their school.

Our innovative in school dental program offers something different than a traditional dental practice. With a workday that ends with the school day and no nights or weekends, our program is perfect for people looking for a diverse and different working environment.

Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) Qualifications:     

                                                                                               

  • Must hold active CPR certification card
  • Must have 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant (DA)
  • Must have 1+ years Digital X-ray Imaging experience
  • Valid driver license, reliable transportation and a willingness to travel locally is a must
  • Works well with others (both children and adults)
  • Ability to work well in fast-paced environment; organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task
  • Must be able to carry up to 55 lbs.
  • Able to walk several flights of stairs on occasion as many schools are without elevators
  • Must Be X-Ray Certified
  • Must Be Sealant Certified
  • Coronal Polishing Certified
  • Must Be Fluoride Certified

Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) Responsibilities:

  • Dental Assisting Services during mobile dental clinics
  • Digital X-ray Imaging
  • Patient Records Charting
  • Coronal Polishing
  • Equipment Set-up, Breakdown, and Sterilization Assistance
  • Travel Daily to and from school sites
