Ultrasound Technologist
MLR (MLee Recruiting) is looking for a full-time, permanent, direct-hire Ultrasound Technologist to join a skilled team at a reputable acute-care hospital near Brownwood, Texas!
Salary: $61,768 - $85,429 per year
Ultrasound Technologist Duties:
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare and position patients for ultrasound exams, prioritizing their comfort and safety during the procedure.
  • Machine Operation: Efficiently operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality, detailed images of internal structures.
  • Work Hours: Three 12-hour shifts from Thursday through Saturday, 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM.
  • Image Review: Assess and interpret ultrasound images to aid in diagnosing conditions and planning treatments.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories, procedures conducted, and diagnostic results.
  • Collaborative Care: Partner with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare team members to review image findings and enhance patient care.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure ultrasound devices are in good working order, calibrated, and promptly report any technical issues.
  • Patient Interaction: Clearly explain procedures to patients, address their questions, and provide any necessary follow-up instructions.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Completion of an accredited program in Radiology or Ultrasound.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in ultrasound imaging.
  • Certification: Required certification through ARRT or ARDMS.
  • Licensure: Active Texas Medical Board MRT or ARDMS certification is required.
  • BLS Certification: Must possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and securely.
