Since opening in 2016, Stratford Eye Care Optometry has built a strong reputation in Hayward, California, as a full-scope practice with a loyal patient base and growing specialty services, including myopia control, dry eye care, and specialty contact lenses for corneal ectasia. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, two-person team as the practice expands its specialty divisions and welcomes an Optometrist who can contribute to continued growth. The practice offers an incredible office culture where the team works hard while in the office, creating the flexibility needed to maintain a healthy work-life balance and enjoy time outside of patient care.

As an Optometrist at Stratford Eye Care Optometry, you'll provide full-scope eye care following California state law while supporting a patient-centered experience for individuals with a wide range of vision and eye health needs. You'll conduct comprehensive exams, manage follow-up and medical eye visits, and use advanced diagnostic technology—including visual field testing, OCT, fundus photography, and A-scan, to support accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans. This role currently offers two days per week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with potential to grow to three days in the future. The practice typically sees approximately 13 comprehensive exams and five shorter visits per day, offering a steady, engaging schedule in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate is an energetic, personable Optometrist who is passionate about full-scope care, building strong patient relationships, and contributing to a positive, collaborative practice culture. Experience in myopia control, dry eye care, and scleral lenses is preferred, though a strong interest and willingness to learn these specialties is also valued. This opportunity is well-suited for someone who communicates with confidence, brings a patient-first mindset to every exam, and is excited to support Stratford Eye Care Optometry's continued growth while delivering exceptional care to the Hayward community.
