Job description

Overview

Reporting to the ILS Director, the ILS Manager I will perform all the necessary ILS administration tasks while maintaining complex system analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Performs tasks related to the area of ILS administration including supply, purchasing, provisioning, design, reliability, validation and maintainability analysis of complex systems/equipment IAW DoD requirements
  • Manages the activities of the Supervisor and ILS staff (up to 8 individuals)
  • Establishes, communicates and monitors adherence to departmental policies/procedures, scheduling deadlines and performance criteria at both departmental and staff level
  • Prepares QA documents for detailed data and provide corrections
  • Directs others on how to create documents (WI, TCTO, WP or MWO) from start to finish
  • Understands the mechanical and electrical operations of an aircraft, preferably helicopters
  • Has the ability to provide engineering with drawing corrections when appropriate
  • Provides training to the team on contract requirements and needs to ensure program efficiency
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or Business Required

Experience:

  • Ten years of total experience required (includes four years in Army Aviation)

Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO or higher.
