What you'll be doing day to day

The Fulfilment Operations Manager contributes to a seamless customer experience by securing a safe, efficient, and customer‑centric goods flow process that enables exceptional product availability and order fulfillment at the lowest possible cost. This role leads daily fulfilment operations, drives continuous improvement, and strengthens partnerships that support long‑term sustainable business growth.

  • Lead and secure an efficient, high‑quality goods flow process across inbound, replenishment, warehousing, order fulfillment, and outbound operations.
  • Maintain and optimize a living capacity plan that ensures strong product availability, accurate replenishment, and timely customer order fulfillment.
  • Implement operational improvements, new technologies, and modern ways of working to enhance efficiency and elevate both the customer and co‑worker experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Fulfilment Integration, Unit Management, support functions, and external transport/service providers to secure cost‑effective end‑to‑end fulfilment.
  • Strengthen communication with inbound and outbound transport planning teams to optimize delivery performance and goods availability.
  • Ensure all fulfilment operations comply with IKEA standards, the IKEA Code of Conduct, and local laws related to health, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead and support the implementation of the Customer Fulfilment Sustainability agenda, taking actions to reduce environmental impact and enable long‑term sustainable profitability.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of local business and logistics action plans, aligning operational goals with broader unit strategies.
  • Lead, coach, develop, and inspire a high‑performing Fulfilment Operations team, driving competence development, performance culture, and succession planning.
  • Foster an inclusive, values‑driven, and safe work environment that embraces diversity, ensures well‑being, and strengthens the IKEA culture.
