CA - Special Event Security Officer, LGBTQ+ Youth Camp (Idyllwild, CA)

Treston Security Services is seeking professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officers for a seasonal camp security assignment in Idyllwild, California. Officers will be responsible for access control and site security, ensuring that only authorized staff, campers, vendors, and approved visitors are permitted onto the property.

This position requires officers who are professional, customer-service oriented, and comfortable working in a diverse and inclusive environment. Officers will interact with campers, staff, parents, and visitors while maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

  • June 14 – June 23, 2026
  • June 29 – July 7, 2026
  • July 13 – July 21, 2026

Applicants may be considered for one, multiple, or all event periods.

Position Details
  • Position: Camp Security Officer (Access Control)
  • Location: Idyllwild, CA
  • Pay Rate: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour (DOE)
  • Shifts Available:
    • 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
    • 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Uniform: Provided by Treston Security Services
  • Employment Type: Temporary / Event-Based
Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor and control access points to the camp
  • Verify credentials and authorization for all visitors, vendors, staff, and guests
  • Prevent unauthorized access to the property
  • Maintain detailed visitor and vehicle logs as required
  • Conduct regular security checks of assigned areas
  • Provide a professional and welcoming presence at all times
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or policy violations
  • Communicate effectively with camp management and Treston supervisors
  • Assist with emergency response procedures when necessary
Qualifications
  • Valid California Guard Card (Required)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to stand and remain alert for extended periods
  • Ability to work day or overnight shifts
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
