Production Team Lead (Crew Leader)
Overview
We're looking for a motivated Production Team Lead to help drive daily operations and support a high-performing manufacturing team. In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping production running smoothly, supporting team members, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on production experience who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role.
What You'll Do
  • Help coordinate daily production activities to ensure schedules are met and downtime is minimized
  • Support and train team members on equipment operation and safety procedures
  • Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times
  • Assist with production scheduling and balancing workloads across teams
  • Review pre-shift equipment inspections and address any issues proactively
  • Monitor materials and finished products to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met
  • Lead daily "Sunrise" meetings, safety talks, and ongoing training efforts
  • Communicate updates clearly between team members and management
  • Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Assist with performance feedback and employee development
  • Maintain accurate production reports and required documentation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Step in and support operations wherever needed to keep production running smoothly
What We're Looking For
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment (1-3 years preferred)
  • Basic understanding of production scheduling and reporting
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of lumber math, grades, and species
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to stay organized and keep a team on track in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
