Identity & Access Management Engineer (RACF)
Location: Remote U.S.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Identity & Access Management Engineer responsible for maintaining the mainframe security environment. This role focuses on using RACF (Resource Access Control Facility) and zSecure to ensure identity management processes align with industry standards. The position involves managing user access controls, overseeing security profiles, and providing expert support for mainframe security systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the mainframe security environment using RACF and zSecure, ensuring proper user access controls and compliance.
  • Configure and manage User, Group, Resource (including CICS & DB2), and Dataset RACF Security profiles.
  • Modify SETROPTS settings as required for security policy enforcement.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for mainframe security inquiries and service requests.
  • Review and approve access requests based on established security policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders on security-related matters.
  • Identify and resolve RACF-related issues through effective troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in identity and access management, with a preference for 10 or more years.
Technical Skills:
  • Deep understanding of RACF for managing access to mainframe resources.
  • Strong familiarity with mainframe system commands and utilities such as TSO, ISPF, JCL, and REXX.
  • Understanding of security concepts including access control, least privilege, and data protection.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and auditing processes related to mainframe security.
  • Confirmation of legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship is required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with zSecure.
  • Prior experience with ServiceNow.
