Cardiac ICU
Fellowship-Trained Cardiac Critical Care Cardiologist
Days-Only Schedule | Advanced Heart Failure Program | Premier Scottsdale Location

HonorHealth, a locally governed, non-profit, and Forbes-recognized Top Employer, is actively seeking physicians trained in Cardiology fellowship trained in Critical Care or physicians trained in Critical Care with extensive experience with complex cardiology patients including LVAD. This is a hospital-employed position within the growing HonorHealth footprint in the Phoenix metro area, a regional destination for comprehensive, innovative care.

Position Highlights

  • HonorHealth Heart Care - A NEW Heart Hospital within HonorHealth Shea

  • HonorHealth Shea: Desirable North Scottsdale Suburbs

  • Join a dedicated 12-bed CVICU, managing complex cardiovascular patients including post-cardiac surgical, mechanical circulatory support, ECMO, and shock patients

  • Expertise in managing Advanced Heart Failure and LVAD patients is highly valued

  • Days-only schedule: Four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts per week; nights covered by Cardiology Fellows and experienced APPs with strong ICU support and physician backup

  • Academic ICU model with Cardiology, IC and EP Fellows

  • Collaborative, experienced team of five Cardiothoracic Surgeons, exceptional Vascular Surgeons with excellent clinical outcomes and long-standing stability

  • Strong interdisciplinary teamwork-HonorHealth embraces a "team sport" culture, where collaboration between cardiac surgeons, intensivists, cardiologists, APPs, and nursing is paramount

Ideal Candidate

  • Board-Certified in Cardiology and Critical Care OR Critical Care with strong Cardiac ICU Experience

  • Proficient in managing complex CVICU patients, including those with mechanical support and post-surgical needs

  • Experience or strong interest in Advanced Heart Failure and LVAD management is a plus

  • Enthusiastic about working in a collaborative, team-based environment with a multidisciplinary focus on excellence

  • Interest in clinical education and/or research welcomed
