The Skin Science Associate is responsible for driving retail operations, managing inventory, providing skin care consultations, and supporting front desk and phone functions as needed. This role serves as the primary liaison among patients, staff, and management, ensuring a seamless, personalized patient experience from arrival to checkout. The associate must demonstrate a passion for skin care and a commitment to continuous learning, aiming to become a skin care expert who can effectively recommend not only individual products but also service packages tailored to each patient's needs.
Retail Operations and Patient Care:
  • Utilize Visia Skin Care Analysis and expert product knowledge to recommend the best products for each patient, addressing specific needs and optimizing.
  • Engage with every patient regarding their previous purchases, new product recommendations, and ensure an individualized
  • Conduct regular inventory reviews and assist with monthly full inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize product waste.
  • Apply FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles for inventory management to maximize sales and reduce product expiration.
  • Document patient concerns or adverse reactions related to products, update patient records, and notify the appropriate provider for further assessment.
  • Stay informed about market trends and recommend new products.
  • Maintain the appearance of product displays and keep the store clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Process online orders, package items, and coordinate deliveries to the post office as needed.
  • Follow up with patients after purchase to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
  • Participate in educational workshops, staff training sessions, lunch-and-learns, and vendor-led product training to continuously expand product expertise.

Front Desk Support (Patient Entry Check-In and Checkout):
  • Greet all patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Present necessary forms or consents for signature and assist patients as needed, collecting past-due balances at check-in.
  • Manage patient appointments by scheduling and rescheduling in accordance with clinic guidelines, optimizing provider schedules.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the reception area and keep patients informed of any appointment delays.
  • Handle patient checkouts, including payment collection, product sales, and scheduling of follow-up appointments.
  • Reconcile daily transactions, ensuring all payments are accurately posted, and notify the appropriate personnel of any discrepancies.

Education:
  • High School Diploma

Experience:
  • Two or more years of sales experience, preferably in a tailored cosmetic setting.
  • One to two years of inventory management experience
  • Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting is highly preferred
