We are seeking a Sr. Data Science Leader to define and scale the data science vision across iCloud and Enterprise domains. This leader will build and guide a high-impact organization that shapes product strategy, drives business outcomes, and elevates decision-making through rigorous, data-informed insights.
This role calls for a strategic leader who pairs deep technical expertise with strong people leadership, and who can translate complex data into clear, measurable product and business impact while driving alignment across senior stakeholders.

The Sr. Data Science Leader will oversee and grow a team of senior data scientists and managers responsible for analytics, experimentation, modeling, and data-driven insights that directly influence iCloud product experiences and business strategy.
You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Business leaders to define success metrics, guide long-term roadmaps, and embed data science deeply into product development. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will bring clarity to complex problems, drive prioritization across competing initiatives, and influence executive decisions with well-structured, evidence-based recommendations.
This role operates at both strategic and execution levels. Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied machine learning.
5+ years of experience leading and scaling data science teams, including managing managers.
Proven track record supporting product development in large-scale consumer or enterprise environments.
Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation design, causal inference, and machine learning methodologies.
Experience working with large, complex datasets and modern data ecosystems.
Experience with large-scale experimentation, recommendation systems, personalization, growth analytics, or optimization at scale.
Experience overseeing large-scale data science initiatives and cross-functional data infrastructure initiatives.
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, complex environments and set clear direction.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $262,500 and $393,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
