Overview
The Ice Technician is responsible for the ice rink, proper safe operation of the ice resurfacer (Zamboni), and maintenance of all areas of the facility. The ice technician will report to the Director of Ice Rink.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $16.00
For Part-Time roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.
This position will remain open until August 28, 2026.
Responsibilities
  • You will be required to learn how to maintain the rink ice. This includes learning to drive and operate the ice resurfacing machine (Zamboni), ice rink edger, and other ice rink tools and applications.
  • You will also be in charge of making sure the arena is cleaned and operating at an optimal level at all times.
  • This includes but is not limited to cleaning and locking down locker rooms, cleaning and maintaining restroom facilities, and making sure arena lobbies are presentable at all times.
  • Maintains excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.

Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of heavy objects.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a productive member of a team.
  • Capable of working a flexible schedule and extended hours, including but not limited to working early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to traditional business hours.
  • Basic understanding/willingness to learn hockey rules and regulations.
  • Proven ability to work well with all levels of management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
