An Ice Plant Operator is responsible for overseeing the production of ice, monitoring and adjusting machinery, and ensuring all safety and quality standards are met. Daily tasks often include inspecting and maintaining equipment, recording operational data, handling minor repairs, and coordinating with maintenance staff for larger issues. Operators may also manage storage and loading of ice, as well as communicate with delivery teams to meet customer orders. The role often involves shift work in a temperature-controlled environment, and team collaboration is key to smooth plant operations and timely product delivery.

Salary: $850.00 weekly guarantee or commission, whichever is higher
Duties and ResponsibilitiesMust be able to sit in a truck for the duration of a shift. Must be able to push and/or pull 90 pounds and carry 50 pounds. Willing to work a flexible schedule which can include weekday, weekend and holiday hours.
Working Conditions*Monday thru Friday, working hours approximately 3am - until.
Must be able to work/drive in extreme temperatures and conditions including hot (100 degrees), cold (below zero degrees) and all types of weather, including but not limited to sun, rain, sleet, snow and ice.
Must keep work area and truck safe and clean and work in a safe and efficient manner. Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions and perform basic mathematics. Must be able to follow plant and safety policies and procedures. Must comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
