Position: Lear 45 Second in Command 

Location: Anchorage 

Airframe: Lear 45 

Schedule: 15 Days On and 15 Days Off 

Annual Salary Range: $97,164.20 to $111,044.81 (external); internal candidates DOE 

The Lear 45 Second in Command (SIC) works with the Pilot in Command (PIC) and medical team to provide care at a moment's notice. Scheduled shifts run 15/15 and service day or night trips. Safety is a key pillar of our services; therefore, all our pilots work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers. 

Minimum Required Qualifications: 

  • Meet or exceed the minimum 14 CFR 135 experience requirements to serve as Pilot In Command (PIC) of an airplane under IFR 
  • Current First Class Medical 
  • Valid Driver's License 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2000 TT
  • 250 Multi Engine PIC 
  • Currently residing in or willing to relocate within a two-hour drive of Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (PANC).  
  • Note: This position requires a twenty (20) minute or less response time to the aircraft when on shift and crew facilities are available in the hangar when on duty.  
  • 12 months of Alaska Part 135 experience. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Pilot will work with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities. 
  • Ensure aircraft readiness for flight as described in the appropriate manuals, including regulatory and company requirements and aircraft cleanliness. 
  • Maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and record keeping for shifts, load manifests, etc. 
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with both air and ground dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners. 
  • Provide shift change info to transitioning pilot and team in accordance with local or company guidance, 
  • Pilots are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing ground and air training. 

Working Conditions: 

  • Required to work in outside weather conditions. 
  • Must be able to work night, day, and overnight shifts as assigned. 
  • May need to de-ice the plane, assist with towing the aircraft and maneuvering in and out of the hangar, prep the plane for flight.
