Clementine's is Saint Louis' first micro creamery. We handcraft small batch ice creams and sorbets, incorporating some of St. Louis' favorite local ingredients to serve our local community.


We are looking for an Ice Cream Producer to join our quickly growing team at our headquarter location.ย The Ice Cream Producer is a production team member who creates Clementine's decadent ice creams, sorbets, and desserts while upholding the company's high manufacturing and food safety and sanitation standards.ย Additional information:

  • Full Timeย 
  • Non-Exempt
  • Day Shift, Occasional weekends

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Operation/Production: Operate ice cream machines to produce ice cream per approved recipes and procedures. Must also operate a digital scale to measure ingredients accurately.
  • Safety and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness, records, and sanitation standards to FDA standards
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Quality Assurance: ย Monitor ice cream and sorbets for consistency, flavor, and quality throughout production. Quality check ingredients and finished product.ย 
  • Packaging and Inventory Management: Package and label store finished ice creams and sorbets recipes and procedures.ย 
  • Other: Perform other duties as directed by leads or supervisors

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Prior experience in a commercial kitchen, bakery or food manufacturing environmentย 
  • Must be comfortable learning and operating manufacturing equipment (including but not limited to ice cream batch freezers, industrial sized blenders, pumps, COP system).ย ย 
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, stoop and reachย 
  • Lift 30 lbs constantlyย 
  • Lift 50 lbs occasionally and comfortably
  • Remain standing for the majority of the shift; stoop and reach
  • Tolerate abrupt and significant changes in temperature, due to frequent interaction with freezers and coolers
  • Ability to taste, smell, and distinguish colors and flavors
  • Must be able to climb step stools of varying heights
  • Ability to handle products and ingredients that include milk, egg, peanut, tree nut, soy, and/or wheatย 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to strictly follow recipes, standards, and procedures while adhering to safety and sanitation rulesย 
  • Must have basic math skillsย 
  • Reliable means of transportation to and from production facilityย 

Experience:

  • Familiarity with batch freezers is a plusย
