Job description


Position Summary

The Bellperson plays a key role in creating a positive first and last impression for hotel guests. This position is responsible for assisting with luggage handling, providing transportation, delivering requested items, and offering knowledgeable, friendly guidance to enhance the guest experience.


Essential Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist guests with their luggage during check-in and check-out.

  • Escort guests to their rooms and explain room features, safety protocols, and locations of amenities such as vending and ice machines.

  • Promote hotel services, outlets, and amenities in a courteous and informative manner to increase guest satisfaction and hotel revenue.

  • Respond promptly to guest requests including delivering packages, messages, amenities, and forgotten items.

  • Provide safe and timely transportation for guests to and from designated locations, such as airports or local attractions.

  • Offer clear and courteous directions or recommendations for local dining, attractions, and services.

  • Tag, store, and secure guest luggage as needed.

  • Manage guest dry cleaning requests and ensure timely delivery of laundered items.

  • Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary to ensure resolution and satisfaction.

  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.


Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Prior experience in hospitality or customer service (preferably in a hotel environment)

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude

  • Ability to lift and carry luggage and stand for extended periods

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if transporting guests)
