Roofing Installer
Shift: Day Shift, Full-Time
Location: Job Dependent
Pay Rate: $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience

Ontario Exteriors Inc. is seeking motivated and dependable Roofing Installers to join our growing team. Experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn the trade. As a trusted leader in the exterior contracting industry, we specialize in both commercial and residential roofing projects throughout the Rochester and Finger Lakes region. Established in 1995, Ontario Exteriors Inc. is a Rochester Top 100 Company recognized for its commitment to quality craftsmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Installing, repairing, and replacing roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings while following manufacturer specifications and company quality standards
  • Safely removing existing roofing materials and preparing roof surfaces for new installation
  • Installing roofing materials including asphalt shingles, underlayment, ice and water shield, flashing, ridge vents, and related roofing components
  • Measuring roofs and materials accurately to minimize waste and ensure proper installation
  • Safely operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other roofing equipment
  • Working at heights while following all OSHA safety requirements and fall protection procedures
  • Identifying and reporting damaged roof decking or structural issues to the project supervisor
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting roofing materials and equipment to and from job sites
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout each project
  • Assisting crew leaders and collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
  • Performing physically demanding work including climbing ladders, lifting materials, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Experience in roofing is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is available for motivated candidates
  • Comfortable working at heights and on steep roof surfaces
  • OSHA 10 certification and fall protection training preferred (may be obtained after hire)
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Basic hand tools are preferred
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites
  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work well as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
  • Commitment to following all company safety policies and procedures
