Role: Technical Business Analyst and IBM ODM Developer

Irving, TX(Remote)

The Product and Services Delivery team of Client is looking a motivated individual to join us as a Senior Crew Domain Technical Business Analyst and IBM ODM Developer to help us deliver world class Crew Management solutions.

Crew Manager Technical Business Analysts are members of a techno-functional team specialized in implementing and delivering Crew Manager and other airline operations management solutions / modules as part of the Crew Manager suite for various airlines across the world. Delivery Technical Business Analyst will also be the Subject Matter Expert on these solutions and will be involved in training airline analysts on the tools and ensure the product is adopted effectively and efficiently by the airline.

As a member of the of cross functional SCRUM team, you will work with all team members on delivering high quality software: well-designed, efficient, and testable business rules code using ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager).

Gather requirements from the customer directly or from aviation regulatory body websites, interpret them into system requirement, document them, code business rules using ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager), create and test scenarios, write automation scripts and deliver the business rules to the customer.

Work on high value (revenue) projects with large scale customer impact and showcase ability to operate under limited direction and minimal oversight. Display ability to delineate requirements to solve complex business problems using differing technologies and system views across multiple functional domains (within company and between company and its customer) on high profile and/or mission critical efforts and projects.

Exhibit in-depth knowledge and showcase the ability to represent all customer and industry needs; typically lead and coach a team of subject matter experts and help them to upskill.

Develop business rules using IBM ODM (Operational Decision Manager).

Develop Jasper reports using Jaspersoft.

Support continuous improvement

Investigating alternatives and technologies

Analyzes Production logs & defects and recommends corrective action

Think from a customer perspective and creatively solves real user problems.

Work closely with customers, both remotely as well as on-site, to train, extract and define business requirements.

Work closely with internal stakeholders to successfully implement Crew software systems within the planned duration and budget.

Develop a thorough understanding of the application's user interface, both from functional business and technical process standpoint, in order to implement, install and help in solution adoption and integration into customer's business processes.

Participate in Interactive Pilot Assessment (IPA) meetings & other project related workshops / meeting to understand customer's business processes and demo application functionality as well as business rules scenarios to the customers.

Test and document new releases and/or new or change functionality in modules.

Ensure that approved methods, processes, and tools are consistently used.

Demonstrate effective teamwork skills.

Our ideal candidate has:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience strongly desired.

Over 5 years of Java/Python/Angular/React/C++ knowledge

Over 5 years of Exceptional Airline/Crew Domain Knowledge

Experience using IBM ODM (Operational Decision Manager) 8.9 and higher plus have an interest to learn and code rules in ODM (IBM Operational Decision Manager)

Good understanding of database concepts and expert knowledge of writing SQL scripts.

Good knowledge of Unix commands.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Proven Analytical skills.

Must be organized and be able to multi-task and work in all areas as needed.

Proficient English written and oral communication skills. Command of a second language is an advantage.

Identify problems and be able to determine when appropriate escalation is required.

Nice to have skills:

DBMS: Oracle, SQL

Operating Systems: UNIX, Linux and Windows

Microsoft Tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL Developer

Other Tools: IBM Operational Decision Manager (V8.9 and above), Java/Python/Angular/React/C++, Rally, JIRA, WinSCP, Putty, Jaspersoft

Prior experience/knowledge on Cloud (AWS and Azure) platform is an advantage but not required.
