Inventory Control Clerk A
North Chicago, Illinois
Day Shift 

We are hiring an Inventory Control Clerk to support daily inventory operations and order processing within a distribution environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, resolving order issues, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit inventory using Manhattan, SAP, and ADMS systems to maintain accurate inventory balances
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies during daily order processing
  • Process rejected, expired, short-dated, quarantined, reworked, or destroyed materials
  • Resolve orders placed on hold due to inventory issues and process order cancellations as needed
  • Monitor system error logs in Manhattan, ADMS, and SAP and escalate issues when necessary
  • Compile, analyze, and report key distribution performance metrics
  • Support distribution, receiving, and shipping teams during high-volume periods
  • Assist with employee training activities
  • Maintain compliance with quality system requirements
  • Ability to support operations across multiple sites when needed
Required Skills:
  • Strong inventory control, warehouse, logistics, or order management experience
  • Experience handling customer orders and resolving order-related issues
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in SAP, Excel, Lotus Notes, and other computer systems
  • Comfortable working across multiple operating systems (Windows, DOS, Mainframe)
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze operational data
  • Experience working with quality systems and operational metrics preferred
  • Must be able to work in cold storage/freezer environments (-20°C or colder) when required
