Job description

Role Summary and Role Description:
As a Senior Software Development Engineer (Server Side) for GlobalLink Technical Operations Team, the ideal candidate will :

  • Provide second/third level support for GlobalLink Applications
  • Build next generation infrastructure to support new initiatives
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve issues across multiple functional areas (server, network, database, storage)
  • Provide operational support for Security and Compliance Management
  • Execute Change Management tasks in Production, UAT and other lower environments
  • Contribute towards on-going migration tasks in the areas of Maintainability, Performance, and High Availability
  • Monitor system performance and make recommendations on improvements
  • Work closely with Engineering and Development teams in order to deliver a highly available and resilient system
  • Participate in on-call rotation and perform weekend maintenance tasks


Experience/Skills Required: Total 18+ years of IT experience:

  • Scripting/Programming experience (Python, BASH, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Strong familiarity with web servers (specifically Apache/NGINX)
  • Linux system administration knowledge (preferably RedHat)
  • Knowledge of network concepts (TCP, UDP, Load Balancing, NAT, FW, etc)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (ability to detect, isolate, and resolve issues anywhere from the kernel up to the application and network layers)
  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud is must, with good experience in automation.
  • Experience in middleware and messaging technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM WMQ


Additional Skills:

  • Experience work on CI/CD Tools, JFROG Artifactory systems
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with running and troubleshooting Java applications.

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $202,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
