Job Title: IBM Tivoli Administrator/Engineer
Job Location: Irving, TX (On-site/Hybrid depending on project needs)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IBM Tivoli Administrator/Engineer to support our enterprise IT operations for our esteemed client, based in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli products, particularly in enterprise monitoring, automation, and performance management within a large-scale infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and manage IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM), Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus, Impact, and Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP).

  • Develop and implement monitoring policies, situation events, and custom scripts for proactive alerting.

  • Integrate Tivoli monitoring solutions with other enterprise tools for centralized reporting and automation.

  • Provide ongoing system health checks and performance tuning.

  • Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents and system outages.

  • Collaborate with other infrastructure and application teams to understand monitoring needs and drive improvements.

  • Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and compliance requirements.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation for incident support.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli suite (ITM, Netcool, OMNIbus, Impact, TEP).

  • Strong experience with scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python) for automation and monitoring tasks.

  • Experience integrating Tivoli with ticketing and logging systems (ServiceNow, Splunk, etc.).

  • Solid understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure (servers, networks, applications, databases).

  • Proficient in troubleshooting complex issues in a distributed system environment.

  • Familiarity with SNMP, TCP/IP protocols, and event correlation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Verizon or in a telecom environment.

  • IBM Tivoli certifications are a plus.

  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure monitoring (AWS, Azure) and modern observability tools is a plus.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
