Job description

RQ00680 - Int. Solution Architect - CRM

1-year contract (260 business days) - possible extension

3 days onsite/2 days remote (subject to HM's discretion) - Metro Hall, 55 John Street

Must Haves:

  1. 10+ years of extensive IT experience gained in a complex technological environment, paired with post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Math (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  2. Experience leading major enterprise-wide on-premises and Cloud transformations, with working knowledge of Cloud adoption, Infrastructure As Code (laC) software-defined infrastructure and private and public Cloud systems.
  3. Experience in the formulation of architectures (including requirements discovery, analysis, application of abstraction, formulation of solution context, solution alternatives identification and assessment, technology selection, and design configuration).
  4. Enterprise Architect certifications & experience with IBM Maximo suite of applications, platform is considered as an asset.
  5. Excellent written & verbal communication skills (comfortable & confident communicating at all levels including business partners, leadership, and vendors
  6. Experience with Enterprise-grade network tools, technologies, platforms, and services.

Scope of Work & Deliverables:

Deliver specialized architecture services across the following project allocations (but not limited to):

Fleet Services (Driver Training System - DTS):

o Provide end-to-end architecture solutions for the AssetWorks M5 Driver Training System implementation.

o Design and validate critical integrations between the DTS platform and core City systems.

RACS Modernization Project:

o Drive the architectural strategy to replace the legacy RACS system.

o Act as a technical evaluator during the formal Procurement and Vendor Selection process.

o Deliver core solution architecture designs and provide technical oversight during the implementation phase.

o Map and engineer all required integrations with existing City infrastructure.

1. Architecture Outline (High Level Design) Document ensuring solution integrates with the existing technology landscape & meets the business requirements.

2. Architecture Diagrams (visual representations of the system architecture, including solution context, systems, components, relationships, etc.)

3. System Integration Design

4. Architecture Assessments (comparative assessments, impact assessments, etc.

5. Architecture Decision documents

6. EARB (Enterprise Architecture Review Board) Package for solution approval
