🏢 About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in IBM FileNet Content Manager and Enterprise Content Management (ECM) to lead the design, development, and cloud migration of large-scale content management solutions. This role blends hands-on technical architecture with strategic leadership, driving digital transformation initiatives for enterprise clients.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • FileNet Solution Architecture & Design: Architect and deliver highly scalable, enterprise-grade solutions using IBM FileNet P8 Platform, including Content Engine (CE), Process Engine (PE), Content Navigator (ICN), Workplace XT, and IBM Case Manager.
  • Workflow & BPM Design: Design and implement complex business process workflows using FileNet Business Process Manager (BPM), Business Automation Workflow (BAW), and Business Process Framework (BPF) to automate document-centric and case management processes.
  • Cloud Migration & Transformation: Lead the strategic migration of on-premises FileNet and ECM workloads to AWS Cloud and other cloud environments, ensuring seamless transitions, minimal downtime, and optimized performance.
  • Content Models & Metadata Architecture: Develop and implement content models, metadata structures, security configurations, and retention policies aligned with enterprise document lifecycle management best practices.
  • Generative AI for ECM: Explore and integrate Generative AI capabilities into enterprise content management solutions to enable intelligent content classification, extraction, and automated decision-making.
  • Capture & OCR Integration: Design and implement document capture solutions leveraging OCR technologies (e.g., ABBYY, IBM Datacap, Kofax) integrated with FileNet for automated document ingestion and classification.
  • System Integration & APIs: Develop and manage integrations using Java/.NET APIs, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, SOAP web services, and IBM Content Engine Web Services to connect FileNet with enterprise applications.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor high-performing teams of developers and architects, providing coaching, code reviews, and technical direction across the project lifecycle.
  • Client Engagement & Delivery: Foster strong client relationships, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and drive projects to on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization: Optimize FileNet system performance, scalability, and storage efficiency for environments handling large volumes of structured and unstructured content.
  • Documentation & Governance: Prepare technical architecture diagrams, solution blueprints, configuration guides, and deployment plans while adhering to industry best practices and security/compliance guidelines.

✅ Required Qualifications & Skills

  • FileNet / ECM Core (Must-Have)
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with IBM FileNet P8 Platform — Content Engine, Process Engine, Application Engine, Content Navigator (ICN), and Workplace XT.
  • Strong expertise in FileNet architecture, configuration, customization, security model implementation, and administration across dev, test, and production environments.
  • Proven experience with FileNet BPM/BAW/BPF for workflow automation, case management, and process orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM Content Collector (ICC), Records Manager, ICC4SAP, and Content Search Engine.
  • Experience in FileNet data/content migration from legacy systems and across FileNet versions (4.x, 5.x).

Development & Integration

  • Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, including enterprise application development, servlets, JSP, Spring, Struts, and Swing.
  • Experience with UI Frameworks and full-stack development for building custom ECM user interfaces.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and SQL tuning for ECM use cases.
  • Experience with WebSphere Application Server or equivalent application server technologies.

Cloud & DevOps

  • Proven expertise in migrating FileNet workloads to AWS Cloud or similar cloud environments (Azure, IBM Cloud).
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift for containerized FileNet deployments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation tools (Jenkins, Git).

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams (15+ members) across geographically distributed locations.
  • Strong client relationship management, strategic planning, and resource allocation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions to executive stakeholders.
  • Adept at process optimization, innovative problem-solving, and results-driven delivery.

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Generative AI / LLM integration for intelligent content management and automation.
  • Knowledge of RPA tools (e.g., UiPath) in conjunction with FileNet for end-to-end process automation.
  • Exposure to ABBYY, Kofax, or IBM Datacap for document capture and OCR solutions.
  • Experience with SSO solutions using SAML and OIDC/OAuth protocols.
  • Familiarity with LDAP repositories and enterprise object storage (e.g., Amazon S3)
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management frameworks.
