Job description

Position Summary:

Responsible for the successful completion of hydro excavation projects including: utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching and digging.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Qualifications:

  • Work outdoors - perhaps in some extreme climates
  • Operate hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner, ensure hydrovac truck and all equipment are in good working condition
  • Preform pre and post inspections, as well as routine maintenance
  • Must be able to sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl repetitively
  • Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts
  • HAZWOPPER, TENORM, H2S, Confine Space and Rescue, First Aid, training preferred
  • OSHA 10, required within 30 days of hire
  • Assist fellow crew members wherever required to get the job done (may entail manual labor and/or be outside your ticketed trade)
  • Class A CDL preferred, Class B acceptable
  • May work around some hazardous material
  • Hydrovac experience preferred
  • Set up and inspect grounding and/ or bonding procedures for hydrovac operation
  • Personal Protective equipment (PPE) required
  • Driver's License required
  • Complete all required paperwork properly and submit on time
