Job description

Science and engineering consulting firm with over 85 years of success is adding a Lead Hydrogeologist to their team in Green Bay!  This is a hybrid position.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical execution of hydrogeological aspects of projects
  • Assist project managers with project cost estimates
  • Consult project managers on technical approach
  • Develop technical approaches for regional hydrologic characterization of groundwater systems in environments comprised of unconsolidated deposits and fractured crystalline rock
  • Provide project and technical leadership on complex, multi-disciplined projects (manage a portion of a project’s budget, scope, schedule, regulatory and contractual commitments)
  • Develop/implement technical approaches for numerical analysis of groundwater and surface water systems in support of permitting, industrial development and site remediation
  • Mentor/train junior staff
  • Serve as a resource in the area of hydrogeology

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Master’s Degree in Hydrogeology or Engineering, or a closely related field preferred
  • 8+ years of experience conducting hydrogeological investigations
  • 5+ years of hands-on field experience
  • Experience coordinating/executing field characterization programs (aquifer testing, hydrophysical profiling, groundwater modeling, and numerical analysis)
  • Proven ability to provide project leadership on complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, regulatory and contractual commitments, and delivery of technical consultation
  • Experience integrating hydrogeologic investigations and numerical analyses with feasibility studies and alternatives analyses
  • Experience providing expert witness testimony at environmental hearings
  • Experience working in deep bedrock environments preferred
  • Previous experience working with a technical consulting firm preferred
