Hydrafacial In information

What is a Hydrafacial and what does a Hydrafacialist do?

A Hydrafacial is a non-invasive facial treatment that uses a device to cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities, and hydrate the skin using specialized serums. A Hydrafacialist is a trained skincare professional who performs these treatments, customizing the procedure to address specific skin concerns like acne, fine lines, or dryness. The treatment is popular for its immediate results, minimal downtime, and suitability for most skin types.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Hydrafacial technician, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Hydrafacial Technician, you need a background in esthetics or cosmetology, along with appropriate state licensure or certification where required. Familiarity with Hydrafacial machines, skincare products, and client management software is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to educate clients about skincare can set you apart in this role. These skills are crucial for delivering safe, effective treatments, building client trust, and ensuring repeat business in a competitive beauty industry.

What are some common challenges Hydrafacial in specialists face when working with clients with different skin types?

Hydrafacial In specialists often encounter clients with a wide range of skin types and concerns, from sensitive or acne-prone skin to mature skin with pigmentation issues. One common challenge is customizing treatments to address individual needs while ensuring safety and optimal results. Specialists must stay updated on product knowledge, contraindications, and evolving protocols to adapt the procedure effectively. Building trust with clients through clear communication and aftercare guidance is also essential for long-term client satisfaction and retention.

Job description

About The Well Lounge

The Well Lounge is a premium medical aesthetics and wellness practice in Newtown, PA, built on the philosophy that inner wellness meets outer beauty. We're not a transactional med spa, our providers combine injectables, lasers, skincare, and wellness therapies into customized, long-term treatment plans for every patient, with a full-face, education-first approach to every consultation. We're looking for a skilled, personable aesthetician who shares our commitment to natural-looking results and genuine patient care.

About the Role

We're hiring an experienced Aesthetician to join our growing team. You'll work alongside our injectors and providers to deliver a wide range of advanced skin, laser, and body treatments, and play a key role in helping patients feel confident in their treatment plans from the very first consultation.

What You'll Do

  • Perform advanced aesthetic treatments and guide patients through custom treatment plans, skincare, and wellness
  • Conduct thorough skin consultations (including VISIA Skin Analysis) and design custom treatment plans tailored to each patient's goals
  • Educate patients on treatments, expected outcomes, and medical skincare at home to support long-term results
  • Maintain detailed, accurate treatment records and adhere to all safety, sanitation, and consent protocols
  • Collaborate with injectors and other providers on combination treatment plans (per our sequencing protocol, skin/laser services are performed before injectables)
  • Help drive rebooking and membership enrollment by building lasting patient relationships

Treatments You'll Need to Know

We're looking for someone who is proficient across our core service menu:

Required proficiency:

  • Dermaplaning
  • HydraFacial / DiamondGlow (must-have)
  • Medical Grade Facials
  • Chemical Peels
  • Microneedling

At minimum, strong working knowledge of and/or experience with:

  • Laser Hair Removal
  • HALO Laser (Sciton)
  • MOXI Laser (Sciton)
  • BBL / BroadBand Light (Sciton)
  • XERF Skin Tightening
  • Morpheus8 (InMode — RF microneedling)
  • Emsculpt NEO (body contouring)

We provide device-specific training, ongoing education, and certification support for the right candidate, but candidates should already be comfortable with the majority of the above.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience as a licensed aesthetician in a medical spa, dermatology, or aesthetic medicine setting
  • Active, valid Pennsylvania Aesthetician license (required)
  • Proven hands-on experience with HydraFacial and/or DiamondGlow
  • Experience with laser and energy-based skin treatments (HALO, MOXI, BBL, Morpheus8, or comparable devices)
  • Strong consultative skills — comfortable educating patients and building customized treatment plans, not just executing requested services
  • Excellent communication, elevates patient experience; thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, patient-first team environment
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable with EMR/scheduling systems (we use Zenoti)

Why Join The Well Lounge

  • Work alongside a collaborative team of injectors, aestheticians, and wellness providers under one roof
  • Ongoing education, device and treatment training
  • Focus on building and sustaining long-term interpersonal patient relationships
  • Employee discounts on treatments and products
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a med spa, dermatology, or aesthetic practice preferred
  • Knowledge of skincare, cosmetic treatments, or laser procedures
