Quechan Casino Resort and Paradise Casino are currently seeking skilled and dependable HVAC Technicians to join our facilities team in a dynamic, 24/7 casino environment. This role is critical to ensuring a comfortable and safe experience for our guests and team members.

Under the general supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, the HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining all heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems throughout the casino, hotel, and associated facilities. This position performs skilled work in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including their electrical and mechanical components.
High school diploma or GED. HVAC Certification required. Three or more years of HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair experience (commercial experience preferred). EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal). Must have valid driver's license. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with digital controls. Ability to work in a 24/7 casino environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, random drug and controlled substance abuse tests, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license in Arizona and California. Tribal preference given to qualified enrolled tribal members.

Originally called Camp Calhoun, the site was first used as a U.S. Military post in 1849. A fire destroyed the original buildings. By 1855 the barracks had been rebuilt. Called Camp Yuma in 1852, it became Fort Yuma after reconstruction. Transferred to the Department of The Interior and the Quechan Indian Tribe in 1884. It became a boarding school operated by the Catholic Church until 1900. California registered historical landmark No. 806. First registered June 1965. Plaque placed by the State Department of Parks and Recreation in cooperation with the Quechan Tribe and Squibob Chapter, E. Clampus Vitus, April 29, 1989. Largely an agriculture community, the Tribe leases its thousands of acres for agriculture to both Indian and non Indian farmers.
