We support varied industries, including Aviation, Food Services, and Hospitality. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome a Experienced Refrigeration & HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team in a commercial airport environment.
Scope of work
The successful candidate is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and resolve problems quickly. Strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and exceptional customer service skills are essential for success in this position..
Compensation: $40.00 - $50.00per hour (Based on Experienced), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k
Shift: 7:00am - 3:30 pm. Monday - Friday. Shift flexibility required to respond to emergency calls as operational needs determine
Job Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections to ensure HVAC/R systems operate at peak efficiency
  • Service commercial rooftops units, chillers, heat pumps, VAV systems, split systems & boilers
  • Inspect, repair and/or replace valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in all HVAC/R work, including handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials
  • Document all work performed, including parts used, repairs completed, and maintenance tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVACR systems
  • EPA 608 Certification or licensure as an HVAC/R Technician
  • Strong understanding of HVACR principles, practices, and regulations
  • Experience using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot HVAC systems efficiently
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment, including ice machines, chillers, market cases, reach-in refrigerators, walk-in freezers, and walk-in refrigerators
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team environment
  • Valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decisions are subject to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria

Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional certifications in specific HVAC/R systems or technologies (e.g., NATE certification).
  • Experience working in commercial and/or industrial HVAC/R settings
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to HVACR systems and refrigerants.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
