Job description

We are seeking a full-time General Manager to lead our HVAC team of installers and technicians for a top provider and a long-standing HVAC company. This candidate must have experience as both a manager and service technician/installer for a minimum of 5-10 years in a HVAC company.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and implement our company's processes as well as provide technical support to our technicians

  • When necessary, you will assist in the field with technical issues, callbacks, and troubleshooting

  • Perform estimates on repairs, new installations, and management of service contracts

  • In addition to recruiting, hiring and firing, you must also maintain a consistent, structured technician group training program covering the areas of technical skills, technology, safety, customer relations, sales, sales leads, and other processes

  • Ensure each technician maintains our high standards of business dress code, upkeep of vehicles/tools, and customer relations

  • Provide individual coaching and training to the technicians on ways to sell heating and cooling systems that best meets our customers' needs

  • Conduct performance feedback sessions with technicians to help them reach their goals

  • Oversee estimating, scheduling and ordering for jobs

  • Monitoring inventory, tools, and vehicles

Requirements Must have

  • 3-5 yrs experience as a HVAC manager

  • 5+ years of service technician/installer of HVAC company

  • EPA Certification

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Computer and technology literacy
