Experienced HVAC Service Technician

New Construction Warranty Service | Metro Atlanta

RGP Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced, dependable HVAC Service Technician who takes pride in accurately diagnosing problems and completing quality repairs.

This is a truck-based field position for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, works effectively with limited supervision, communicates professionally, and brings a positive, team-oriented attitude to work every day.

About RGP Heating & Cooling

RGP Heating & Cooling is a single-family new-construction HVAC contractor based in Kennesaw, Georgia. Since 2001, we have provided HVAC installation and warranty services for some of America’s largest homebuilders.

Today, we are one of the largest new-construction HVAC contractors in metro Atlanta, supporting four of the nation’s largest homebuilders as well as several major regional builders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems in newly constructed homes
  • Perform warranty service professionally and efficiently
  • Complete system start-ups as needed
  • Replace defective parts, components, and equipment when required
  • Clearly document findings, repairs, and completed work
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, coworkers, and management
  • Maintain an organized service vehicle and the tools necessary to perform assigned work
  • Participate in the rotating weekend emergency-service schedule

Weekend on-call coverage is shared among the service technicians and is typically required approximately once per month.

Ideal Candidate

  • At least 5 years of HVAC service experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Sound judgment and critical-thinking ability
  • A positive attitude and professional appearance
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while supporting the larger team
  • A willingness to learn, improve, and accept constructive direction

Schedule

This is a year-round, nonseasonal position. Our service technicians average approximately 40 hours per week throughout the year.
