We’re hiring an experienced HVAC Installer to install and replace heating and cooling systems in multi-family properties. You will work on equipment and duct systems while following manufacturer instructions, building codes, and safety standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable coordinating installs in occupied or turnover environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related systems
  • Replace existing HVAC units and components (e.g., thermostats, evaporator/condenser units)
  • Assemble, position, and secure HVAC equipment according to specifications
  • Perform duct installation and/or duct modifications, including sealing and insulation
  • Connect electrical and plumbing lines (as applicable) safely and correctly
  • Test systems for proper operation, airflow, refrigerant performance (if licensed), and safety
  • Follow building codes, manufacturer instructions, and company installation standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized job site and ensure tools/equipment are stored properly
  • Communicate with customers and team members professionally
  • Complete job documentation (work orders, installation checklists, photos, etc.)
  • Assist with troubleshooting and minor adjustments when issues arise

Qualifications
  • Proven experience installing HVAC systems (years: 2-3 preferred)
  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment types and installation practices (residential and/or commercial)
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Installation manuals/spec sheets
    • Blueprints or drawings (as applicable)
    • Measure/level tools and basic technical diagrams
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, airflow, ductwork, and basic electrical/plumbing connections
  • Familiarity with hand/power tools and safe work practices
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (typical range: 50+ lbs)

Preferred (Optional) Requirements
  • EPA Section 608 certification (Required)
  • Trade school or HVAC certification (Preferred)
  • Background that includes working with permits/inspections (if applicable)
  • OSHA or safety training (preferred)

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move HVAC components (50+ lbs frequently; additional weight as needed)
  • Work on ladders and at heights
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, standing, and working in tight mechanical areas
  • Ability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions
