Company Overview

The Cornerstone Equipment Co., an independent, high-growth dealership representing Bobcat, Grasshopper, STIHL, ECHO, and Husqvarna, is rapidly scaling from our flagship store in Oakboro, NC, to multiple locations. Our new Carthage, NC location will be our second full-line store and is open as of Q1 2026.

Position Summary

Opening-day, in-shop (not field) technician dedicated to Bobcat compact construction and agricultural equipment 60–120+ hp:

  • Wheel loaders (L65, L75, L85, L95)
  • Track loaders (T66, T76, T86, T870, T1100)
  • Compact excavators (E88, E145, E165)
  • Telehandlers (TL619, TL723, TL923)
  • Toolcat utility work machines and all related attachments
  • Compact and Utility Tractors (Cat 1 + Cat 2)

Primary Responsibilities


  • Diagnose and repair Bobcat Tier 4 & Stage V diesel engines (D24, D34, D38, D42, etc.)
  • Full hydraulic system service — high-flow, load-sense, pilot controls, auxiliary circuits
  • Advanced electrical & CANbus diagnostics using Bobcat Service Analyzer and laptop software
  • Pneumatic systems on applicable models
  • Overhaul and calibrate joysticks, EH controls, ride control, and self-leveling systems
  • Perform major component R&R (pumps, motors, cylinders, final drives)
  • Complete hourly services and structural warranty repairs
  • Document all work in ASPEN DMS with photos for maximum warranty recovery


Required Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years heavy-line experience on compact construction/ag equipment
  • Bobcat Master Service Technician or equivalent factory training on 25+ hp machines
  • Expert-level electrical diagnostics (CANbus, schematics, Service Analyzer, oscilloscope)
  • Advanced hydraulics — load-sensing systems, pilot pressure testing, flow/pressure calibration
  • Proven ability to consistently achieve 120%+ technician efficiency
  • Personal toolbox with metric/SAE sockets, diagnostic laptop capability, and Bobcat-specific specialty tools
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Successful completion of a drug screening is a condition of employment

Preferred Qualifications


  • Current Bobcat Master Service Technician certification
  • Bobcat Advanced Diagnostics & Programming credentials
  • Experience with Doosan portable power or Bobcat grounds maintenance crossover
  • Previous dealership warranty administrator experience

Certifications & Training

Technician is expected to maintain Bobcat Master status and achieve Bobcat Advanced Diagnostics within 12 months.
