Hunting Associate information

What is a hunting associate?

Hunting Associates are retail employees typically found in outdoor or sporting goods stores who specialize in assisting customers with hunting-related products and services. Their responsibilities include providing knowledgeable advice on firearms, ammunition, hunting gear, and local regulations, as well as processing sales and ensuring compliance with safety and legal requirements. They often help customers choose the right equipment based on their needs and experience level, and may also handle inventory or assist with special orders. Hunting Associates play an important role in promoting responsible and safe hunting practices.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a hunting associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Hunting Associate, you need strong knowledge of hunting products, local regulations, and customer service, typically supported by retail experience or certifications in hunter safety. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, inventory management tools, and firearms handling protocols is common in this role. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and a passion for outdoor activities help you connect with customers and provide expert advice. These skills ensure customers receive accurate information, remain compliant with laws, and have a positive shopping experience.

What are some common challenges hunting associates face during peak seasons, and how can they prepare for them?

During peak hunting seasons, Hunting Associates often experience an increased workload, with higher customer traffic and greater demand for product knowledge. Staying up-to-date on the latest gear, local hunting regulations, and inventory can help associates provide accurate recommendations to customers. Effective time management and teamwork are essential for restocking shelves and maintaining organization in a fast-paced retail environment. Preparing by reviewing store promotions and coordinating with fellow team members can help ensure a smooth and successful season.

Are you looking for a private-practice opportunity where you can build meaningful patient relationships, grow clinically and begin with a genuinely busy schedule?

Frenchtown Dental is seeking a full-time associate dentist to join our established, independently owned practice in beautiful Western Montana. Our current full-time associate is relocating, creating an immediate opportunity to step into an active patient base. With approximately 50–60 new patients joining our practice each month, you will not be waiting months to build a schedule.

We are a relationship-centered general dental practice that welcomes both patients seeking traditional dentistry and those interested in a more holistic, whole-health approach. We listen carefully to our patients’ concerns, discuss their options openly and help them make informed decisions about their care.

What We Offer

  • An established patient base and busy schedule from the beginning
  • Approximately 50–60 new patients per month
  • Competitive compensation with excellent earning potential
  • Daily guarantee
  • Relocation assistance
  • Full-time position with a negotiable schedule
  • A beautiful, modern office with mountain views from every window
  • CBCT, iTero digital scanning and advanced clinical technology
  • An experienced and supportive dental team
  • Clinical mentorship and opportunities to expand your skills
  • The autonomy and personal connection of an independently owned practice

Clinical Opportunities

The associate will provide comprehensive general dentistry, including:

  • Examinations and treatment planning
  • Fillings and restorative dentistry
  • Crowns and other indirect restorations
  • Extractions
  • Emergency care
  • Comprehensive family dentistry

Our practice also offers opportunities to learn and participate in:

  • IAOMT SMART amalgam-removal protocols
  • Ozone therapy
  • Adult and pediatric airway-focused dentistry
  • Sleep-disordered breathing screening and oral appliance therapy
  • Invisalign and clear-aligner treatment
  • Laser dentistry
  • Myofunctional and interdisciplinary care

Previous experience in these areas is not required. We are looking for a dentist who is curious, teachable and interested in understanding how oral health connects with the health of the whole person.

Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal associate:

  • Holds or is eligible for a Montana dental license
  • Provides compassionate, ethical and clinically excellent care
  • Takes time to listen and communicate with patients
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with an experienced team
  • Is comfortable providing comprehensive general dentistry
  • Is interested in holistic dentistry and willing to learn SMART protocols, ozone therapy and airway-focused care
  • Wants to develop lasting patient relationships
  • Values the independence and culture of a privately owned practice

Experienced dentists and motivated new graduates are both encouraged to apply. Mentorship is available, and the position can be shaped around the right dentist’s experience, interests and long-term goals.
