Its robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA.

This is a contract-to-hire position with the goal of transitioning to full-time employment, based onsite at our customer facility in Fontana, CA.

As a Humanoid Robot Operator & Data Creator, you'll work hands-on with our humanoid robots in a live commercial environment - running operations, collecting the motion data that trains our models, and keeping the site running day to day. This role sits on the front line of field deployment, and you'll be counted on to pitch in wherever the site needs it, not just what's listed below.

Shift: Morning and overnight shift positions available.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure successful day-to-day operations of the robot(s) on the customer site
  • Wear sensor equipment to collect high-quality motion data used to train AI models
  • Follow proper equipment and robot maintenance procedures, including bring-up, setup, and shutdown
  • Run the robot, identify bugs and problems, and relay feedback to the appropriate teams
  • Track, document, and escalate issues to engineering teams using Jira
  • Flag issues or bugs during data collection and share daily feedback with the team
  • Adhere to all safety procedures related to robot and teleoperation equipment
  • Maintain a safe, organized workspace across all operations
  • Support general site upkeep and other hands-on tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

Requirements:

  • Willing and able to travel throughout the US
  • Willingness to own the operations of the humanoid and drive proper functioning of the robot
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent physical coordination, spatial awareness, and focus
  • Can stand 8+ hours a day and physically manage humanoid hardware
  • Master new physical tasks quickly and find the optimal way to perform them
  • Demonstrate sustained focus and attention while performing assigned tasks
  • Embrace constructive feedback and strive for constant improvement
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience working with robots or troubleshooting mechanical systems
  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • A passion for helping scale the deployment of humanoid robots

The US base hourly rate for this full-time position is $30/hr.

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.

This role requires being fully onsite at the customer facility for the duration of the engagement.
