Job description

Become a part of our caring community
As a Medical Assistant you will be the first contact for patient care, responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. Working onsite in a clinical environment and reporting to the Center Administrator you will perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments.
As a Medical Assistant you will perform clinical tasks such as:
  • You will document patient symptoms in EMR
  • You will take and record vital signs
  • You will administer injections
  • You will perform diagnostic tests
  • You will collect specimens and draw blood
  • You will sterilize equipment
  • You will maintain examination rooms

Required Qualifications
  • Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
  • 1+ years of MA experience
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • CPR Certified

Other Qualifications
  • Certified or Registered
  • Value-based Care experience includes knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 to 5:00
Location: Onsite at CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at 2875 South Nellis Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89121
This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
