Kinsight is an accredited non-profit organization. We work alongside families of children, youth and adults with developmental delays or disabilities to support growth, development and personal well-being. We work with hundreds of community members and professionals to welcome and include all people, and foster vibrant and healthy communities. We serve the communities of New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Anmore and Belcarra. Our mission is to provide options and opportunities for people to have meaningful relationships and fulfilling lives.

Schedule*:

Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Saturday 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Sunday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Monday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm


*May be required to work statutory holidays

About the Role:

As a Residential Care Worker, you will:

  • Support individuals in various home settings to promoting independence
  • Foster opportunities for learning, self-expression, and community connection
  • Assist with personal care, emotional and social support, and medical needs as required
  • Advocate for people's rights, choices, and inclusion in all areas of life
  • Follow individualized care plans and help build new routines based on personal preferences

What You Bring:

  • Diploma in Human Services, Community Support, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities and behavior challenges
  • Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Experience with personal care and supporting diverse care needs (an asset)
  • Class 5 Driver's License required (Class 4 preferred); personal vehicle required
  • Current First Aid/CPR, Mandt, and Food Safe certifications
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for building inclusive communities
  • Union membership required (BCGEU)
