Job description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Neurology seeks to fill a Human Resources Partner Generalist position. This position will act as the department's primary human resources professional in the Chair's Office overseeing HR administration, processes, and transactions for the department, and will serve as liaison to central HR units. The position will be responsible for staff recruitment and personnel file management. The position will advise supervisors in human relations and disciplinary processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages human resources services and policy administration for department of Neurology.
  • Manages staff recruitment and staff onboarding processes.
  • Serves as advisor to department administrators/supervisors and liaison to central HR units for disciplinary actions and sensitive employee relations issues.
  • Processes departmental HR transactions and updates HR reporting portals to ensure departmental compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
(Annual Salary: $47,665 - $77,455)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
