Job description

HR PROJECTS MANAGER
As a Human Resources Projects Manager at SpaceX, you'll be responsible for leading critical projects that improve how we operate, grow, and support our teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is deeply curious about how things work, and enjoys solving complex problems across people, process, and data. You'll work closely with HR Business Partners, Corporate Business Operations, and business leaders to deliver initiatives that drive efficiency, consistency, and impact across the organization. We're looking for someone with a strong HR foundation who can think strategically, execute precisely, and partner effectively across a wide range of stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the design and execution of HR projects and initiatives across functions, geographies, and teams
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to understand challenges and identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, and programs. Support and collaborate with HR Business Partners on projects/initiatives they are leading
  • Drive projects from planning through implementation-scoping goals, building timelines, identifying key milestones, and managing communications
  • Use data to define success metrics, monitor project progress, and inform recommendations
  • Collaborate with the HR Data team to surface and analyze trends that inform decision-making
  • Help develop and implement solutions that make HR processes more scalable, consistent, and aligned with company priorities
  • Support organizational change efforts, including restructuring, realignments, and other transformation work
  • Ensure projects align with company culture, business strategy, and compliance expectations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in HR or program management
  • 6+ years of experience managing or leading cross-functional projects involving HR systems, processes, or policy implementation (including, but not limited to, core HR initiatives such as performance management, onboarding, HR compliance)

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills across all levels of the business, including senior leadership
  • Experience using HRIS systems and people data to inform project decisions (e.g., Workday, Tableau, Excel)
  • Track record of improving HR programs or processes that supported business growth or transformation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
  • High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • Training or certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, SQL, Power Automate)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Willing to travel up to 10%, based on project needs
  • Able to work extended hours or weekends when required
  • Must be able to pass an Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
  • This is a full-time onsite role based in Cape Canaveral, FL. Remote work will not be considered
