Quality Engineer

Full Time Professional Wolfeboro, NH, US

Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Engineer is a handsโ€‘on engineer whose primary focus is to solve complex manufacturing problems through keen observation and explicit attention to details.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in Contract Review process to assure that Engineering Master addresses all customer requirements as documented in supplier agreements, procedures, work instructions and engineering drawings
  • Assure that operators are trained and comply with in-process procedures, (i.e. trimming, assembling, packaging, etc.)
  • Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final audit inspections of products during the manufacturing process
  • Constructs recommendations to approve/reject samples based on conformance requirements
  • Verify any non-conforming material or products are corrected and documented
  • Maintain all samples for startโ€‘up and final product
  • Perform customer mandated testing and related documentation
  • Document all work instructions and quality control documentation.
  • Work with new Laser 3D scanner to develop quick inspection methods.
  • Participate in creating a culture of cooperation, support, continual improvement and overall team success
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical field (not required but a plus)
  • 5+ yearsโ€™ experience as a Quality Engineer in a Lean manufacturing environment or Level III Quality Inspection with knowledge of GD&T
  • Injection Molding experience is a plus
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is a plus
  • Have experience with ISO 9001, 13485 & TS16949
  • Strong skill level in engineering principles (design of experiments, statistical data analysis, tolerance analysis, human factor engineering, FMEA/FTA, reliability, validation, development and execution of protocols/reports
  • Use all basic precision mechanical measurement equipment including FARO Arm, calipers, micrometers, comparators, bore gages, etc.
  • Strong computer literacy skills with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, project management and manufacturing software
  • Must possess good communication skills, written and verbal, and must be able to interact with customers and employees
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include: close vision, distance vision, color acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 โ€“ 25 pounds
  • Documentation and record keeping skills.

Knowledge of Theory of Constraints a plus.
