Location: Raleigh/Durham, NC (Hybrid)
Reports To: Senior Human Resources Business Partner

About the Role

The HR Business Partner supports leaders and employees across North America by delivering high-quality HR solutions and operational support. This role partners closely with the Senior HRBP to execute people initiatives, support employee lifecycle processes, drive compliance, coordinate leave and training programs, and contribute to a positive employee experience.

The ideal candidate is a proactive HR professional who enjoys partnering with managers, solving employee issues, improving processes, and supporting a growing business in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers and employees on a broad range of HR matters including employee relations, performance management, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, employee records management, HRIS updates, and employment documentation.
  • Manage leave administration processes including FMLA, ADA accommodations, disability leaves, return-to-work coordination, and compliance tracking.
  • Support performance management programs through documentation, coaching tools, review cycle administration, and tracking completion of required actions.
  • Coordinate compliance activities including I-9 audits, personnel file reviews, policy acknowledgements, mandatory training, and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer HR programs and employee communications while serving as a key resource for employee questions and policy guidance.
  • Support recruitment activities including onboarding preparation, background checks, and new hire readiness.
  • Assist with HR reporting, workforce metrics, audit preparation, and data integrity initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, wellness, and learning initiatives that support Novotech's culture and employee experience.
  • Build effective relationships with leaders and employees to understand business needs and deliver practical HR solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Experience supporting employee relations, leave administration, compliance, performance management, and HR operations.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred

  • Experience within Life Sciences, CRO, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Professional Services industries.
  • Experience supporting multi-state U.S. employee populations.
  • Exposure to Canadian employment practices.

Salary Band – HR Business Partner: $100,000 to $120,000 USD – Salary offered will be based on candidates experience level.
