About this role
Under direct supervision, employees in the role will be provided mentoring and practical hands-on experience for relevant career-related activities encountered in the student's area of study or specialization.
Varies
Base Pay: $15.00. Offer amount based on College's Salary Schedule guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists department with assigned projects
  • Completes challenging projects and assignments
  • Adheres to work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing staff behavior
  • Adheres to policies governing the observation of confidentiality and the handling of confidential information
  • Relates and applies the knowledge acquired in the academic setting to the work being performed
  • Prepares for and utilizes opportunities of learning
  • Consistent and punctual in the submission of all work assignments
  • Provides management with periodic progress updates.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Actively enrolled at a regionally accredited college or university
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Completion of 30 or more credit hours of college coursework or 50% of the applicable trade or certificate program
  • 18 years of age or older on first day of employment

Knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar application

Skilled in:
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Verbal and written communications

Ability to:
  • Demonstrate critical thinking & interpersonal skills
  • Work with diverse populations and varying education levels

Work Environment and Physical Demand:
  • Reach and grasp objects
  • Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Use of video display terminal
  • Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Communicate information orally and in writing
  • Receive and understand information through oral and written communication
  • Proofread and check documents for accuracy
  • Work a fluctuating work schedule
