Account Executive: Woodstock, Illinois
The Account Executive is responsible for outside sales of the Hughes Recruiting & Consulting brand and product line. Utilizing sales strategies such as cold calls, direct mail / email marketing campaigns, client presentations, and community networking, the Account Executive is expected to increase sales volume and expand market awareness of Hughes’ offerings. In this role, the Account Executive will work to magnetize new business as well as manage relationships with existing clients. This role works closely with the marketing team on lead and content generation, and partners with recruiters who fill the job orders landed. The Account Executive must also work closely with all Hughes’ clients to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. This job role requires a candidate to possess incredible people connection skills, a strong work ethic, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and workplace professionalism.
Responsibilities of the Account Executive:
  • Staffing Sales: Woodstock, Illinois and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin areas.
  • Conduct territory analysis, including physical mapping of the market, competition review, potential customer base, and other demographic/business data.
  • Develop qualified prospects and initiate marketing calls (either via phone or in-person).
  • Contact active clients to ensure continual customer satisfaction.
  • Contact inactive clients to inquire about potential jobs and nurture business relationships.
  • Request internal and external referrals and testimonials from prospects and clients.
  • Cross-sell the services of other Hughes product offerings (Professional Search, Consulting).
  • Innovate (with the Marketing Manager) and deliver (in conjunction with the Staffing Team) creative “Client Nurture” activities/gifts for targeted clients to express our appreciation for their continual business.
  • Manage the company’s direct mail / email marketing campaigns, created with the Marketing Manager, and initiate follow-up contact.
  • Conduct Annual Client Reviews with targeted pool of existing clients, record interview data utilizing Interview Questionnaire template, and develop/deliver presentation of information to the leadership team.
  • Negotiate bill rates and terms of service within Hughes’ minimum standards (discuss special arrangements with the VP M&S or CEO); present properly documented quotes to clients.
  • Prepare new contracts for client review and approval, conduct periodic review of contracts and rates for existing clients, and review / update contracts and rates for re-activated clients.
  • Record thorough job order information from the client and promptly communicate new orders to Staffing Team.
  • Search for qualified candidates and present those candidates to clients that match potential job opportunities (as a sales/marketing initiative), in conjunction with the Staffing Team.
  • Properly document all client communication in computer system (client meeting notes, client call notes, record of voicemails left or attempted client calls, summary of client correspondence, client nurture activity).
  • Participating in strategy meetings with Hughes staff to identify new potential business opportunities, discuss filling challenging job orders, and work to resolve open issues/problems.
  • Attend various networking opportunities on behalf of the company (community and business events – i.e. Chamber events) and actively network via the Internet (LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Meet or exceed the performance objectives for all sales-related financial targets, excluding economic or client conditions outside of the individual’s control.
  • Assist in candidate recruitment efforts (collateral drop offs) and attend job fairs or other recruitment events in order to capitalize on sales connections.
  • Coordinate and/or participate in candidate/client outreach activities (lunch-and-learn classes, employment forums, client worksite presentations).
Account Executive Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of outside B2B sales experience required.
  • Proven experience generating new business through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Staffing, recruiting, workforce solutions, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for client meetings - (30-mile radius of Woodstock, IL, and Lake Geneva, WI).
  • Consistent history of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Pay for Account Executive: Starting at $60,000-$80,000/year base plus commission. You can expect ~$20K commission if sales targets are met.
