Position: Weekend Merchandiser

Reports to:  Manager

Status: Full time

Hourly Salary: $17 - $19

The Merchandiser is responsible for displaying and rotating products, keeping displays clean, organized, and fully stocked, and setting up promotional signage and materials. This position requires clear communication with internal teams and management regarding customer needs, store conditions, and competitor activity. The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, and customer-focused, committed to upholding company standards and promoting the Huff Brand (Division of Mirabito) at all customer locations. Adherence to store-specific receiving procedures, company policies, and safety regulations is essential.

Essential Functions:

  • Merchandiser is responsible for servicing existing Customer accounts on a predetermined service schedule within a designated geographic area.
  • Merchandiser displays/merchandises products, rotates products and ensures product displays are clean, marked, organized and well stocked.
  • Merchandiser is aware of promotion and product display promotions. Place any special signs, point of display advertising materials at the Customers location.
  • Merchandiser is a part of the Customer Service Team and must communicate appropriate Customer and competitive information to Management, Internal Customer Service staff and Driver Sales Team, on a consistent basis.
  • Merchandiser is a vital position in establishing, developing and maintaining a positive and trustful Customer and business relationship. Ensure ?Huff Brand? is constantly and consistently being achieved.
  • Adheres to all Customer specific receiving policies and store procedures
  • Follow all company procedures, safety regulations and professional code of conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Services existing Customers on a predetermined basis.
  • Merchandise existing inventory and any back stock.
  • Understands the promotion schedule supplied by Huff staff, signage allowed is displayed.
  • Alert internal Customer Service Team of any exceptions, special deliveries, customer requests or complaints.
  • Maintain a complete working knowledge of the products offered.
  • Maintain a full working knowledge of Customer sales and service requirements and adhere to these requirements and policies. Follow Customer Best Practices procedures.
  • Communicate constantly with Customer support team and management to resolve any service problems and opportunities to increase sales.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all display cabinets and shelves.
  • Place any special signs, point of display advertising materials at the Customers location.
  • Mark and or price predetermined products with labeling equipment.
  • Adhere to all Customer specific receiving policies and procedures.
  • Provide consistent and accurate communication to store personnel, driver sales and office teammates.
  • Maintain flawless appearance of displays and special visual displays at store level including products on sales floor as well as in backrooms.
  • Efficiently carry out put away procedures to ensure optimized efforts, product protection guidelines and safe food handling practices.
  • Follow all company procedures, safety regulations and professional code of conduct.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Sales Management.
