Description
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for a CNC Machinist III who will be a key player in our manufacturing operations, responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining CNC machinery. This position requires advanced knowledge of CNC operations, including complex setups, programming, troubleshooting, and quality control. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and precision of our manufacturing processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs as needed for specific components and production requirements. Knowledge of G-code and CAM software is essential
  • Operate CNC machines to produce components, closely monitoring machining processes, and making real-time adjustments for optimal performance and quality
  • Conduct rigorous quality inspections using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to ensure part dimensions and quality meet specifications
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on CNC machines. Troubleshoot machine issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with CNC programmers, engineers, and production teams to optimize machining processes, reduce cycle times, and increase efficiency
  • Manage tool changes, tool offsets, and tool life monitoring to ensure consistent and high-quality machining results
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a safe and organized work area
  • Accurately document and maintain production records, including part counts, machine logs, and quality control data

Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist, with a focus on complex CNC machining operations
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming using G-code and CAM software
  • Experience with a variety of CNC machines and controls
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality components
  • Understanding of safety protocols and a dedication to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team

  • 2-year technical certification or equivalent experience
