Huddle Up information

How does participating in a huddle up meeting support team collaboration and productivity?

Participating in a 'Huddle Up' meeting, often called a daily or weekly team huddle, fosters open communication and alignment among team members. These short, focused meetings give everyone a chance to share updates, discuss priorities, and quickly address any roadblocks. By regularly checking in, team members are more likely to stay on track with their goals, resolve issues collaboratively, and maintain a positive, energetic work environment. This structure also strengthens relationships and helps new members integrate more smoothly into the team.

What is a huddle up?

A Huddle Up in the workplace refers to a brief, regular meeting where team members gather—often standing—to quickly discuss goals, share updates, and address any immediate concerns. These meetings are typically short, lasting 10-15 minutes, and help keep everyone aligned and motivated. Huddle Ups can improve communication, foster collaboration, and ensure that any obstacles are identified early so the team can work efficiently together.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a huddle up facilitator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Huddle Up Facilitator, you need strong group leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills, often supported by experience in coaching, teaching, or team management. Familiarity with collaboration tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or specialized facilitation software is important. Emotional intelligence, adaptability, and active listening help facilitators engage participants and foster positive group dynamics. These skills ensure productive, inclusive discussions that drive team cohesion and effective decision-making.

We are rapidly expanding our crew and looking for a few talented, enthusiastic, and high-energy BabyStrong Children’s Coaches. If you love working with tiny humans (crawling to walking), want a fun morning gig, and are ready to make a massive impact on young families, this spotlight is yours!
???? The Sweet Spot (Schedule & Hours)
We are specifically looking for coaches to help us rock our morning shifts (all wrapped up before noon!).
  • Hours: Approximately 10–12 hours per week.
  • Flexibility: Great for anyone looking for a rewarding, part-time morning routine!
???? Perks that Rock
  • Great Pay - Starting at $20/Hour
  • The Ultimate Feel-Good Gig: Teach parents exactly how to supercharge their baby's physical, social, and cognitive development.
  • Unmatched Energy: Join a fun, passionate, and professional team that actually loves coming to work.
  • Private Party Hours: Opportunities to score extra hours coaching private parties if you want 'em!
???? What is BabyStrong anyway?
BabyStrong is our coach-led program designed specifically for infants in the exciting crawling-to-walking stage (typically ages 6 months to 1 year). These specialized sessions focus on building a powerhouse foundation for life through purposeful movement and deep parent-child connection. Every single class is designed to help babies grow strong, curious, and confident—one milestone at a time!
???? What You’ll Do (Role & Responsibilities)
  • Lead the Littles: Coach classes of 6 to 15 children , keeping energy high, fun, and deeply motivational.
  • Run the Science-Backed Curriculum: Teach our expert-developed, science-backed BabyStrong curriculum , focusing on brain, physical, and character development.
  • Partner with Parents: You'll be working "hands-on" with both babies and parents , guiding moms and dads on the floor, assisting with class flow, and explaining "the why" behind our developmental milestones.
  • Celebrate Big Wins: Hand out awards and lead rank ceremonies to celebrate these tiny athletes' major progress!
  • Command the Arena: Utilize KidStrong equipment (like Krawlers, mats, and wedge boxes) along with fun tools like parachutes, tunnels, and blocks.
  • Keep it Clean & Safe: Ensure our blue floors, lobby, and equipment are pristine, sanitized, and safe for crawling knees.
  • Stay Connected: Use the KS Coach’s App to track data , huddle with the team on Slack , and attend monthly staff training meetings.
???? Who You Are (Qualifications)
  • Toddler & Baby Fanatic: An absolute, non-negotiable passion for working with infants and toddlers!
  • Parent Educator: Comfortable speaking to, educating, and guiding parents on the floor.
  • Physical Energy: Ready for a physically active shift—lifting equipment up to 25 pounds, moving fast, and staying hands-on for safety.
  • Background Plus: Prior experience coaching young age groups , or experience as a pediatric OT/PT, is a massive plus!
  • The Essentials: CPR Certified, a self-starter attitude , intermediate knowledge of exercise techniques/body mechanics, and a certified status through our HQ FranConnect training (we'll help you get this!).
