What does an HTML intern do?

An HTML Intern assists with the development and maintenance of websites by writing and editing HTML code under the supervision of senior web developers. Their responsibilities often include creating webpage layouts, ensuring web content displays correctly across browsers, and learning about web standards and best practices. They may also collaborate with designers and other developers, gaining practical experience in web development. This internship helps build foundational skills for a career in front-end development.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an HTML intern?

To thrive as an HTML Intern, you need a strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic web development principles, often supported by coursework or portfolio projects. Familiarity with code editors (like VS Code), browser developer tools, and version control systems such as Git is typically expected. Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and effective communication make an intern stand out in team settings. These issues can be addressed by actively seeking feedback from more experienced developers, referencing up-to-date documentation, and practicing with real-world projects.
