We're looking for a US Equity Product Specialist to help grow and strengthen our equity advisory and idea generation capability for Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients. You'll act as a key link between Portfolio Management, distribution teams (Relationship Managers and Investment Counselors), Product, Client Proposition and Marketing-ensuring high-quality content, timely execution, and a best-in-class client experience.
What you'll be doing
  • Generate and promote equity investment ideasto internal and external audiences, including Investment Counselors (ICs), Relationship Managers (RMs) and clients. You'll maintain coverage of existing themes while developing new ideas-so strong prioritization and time management matter
  • Align recommendations to HSBC Private Bank's strategic views, working closely with the Global Investment Committee framework, while also producing bespoke equity ideas for UHNW client needs and partnering with Structured Products on idea development
  • Deliver high-quality company analysis, demonstrating strong understanding of business models and valuation, and communicating insights clearly to audiences with varying levels of investment sophistication
  • Help lead the build-out of the Equity Advisory program, collaborating with RMs / ICs to design bespoke equity portfolios, provide disciplined investment rationale, deliver proactive advice, and support continuous risk monitoring through a scalable advisory process
  • Contribute to the strategic House View, connecting bottom-up stock work to top-down sector, style and macro factors, and confidently commenting on global equities (US, Europe and Asia), even if you have a regional specialism
  • Incorporate ESG considerations into research and recommendations, reflecting HSBC's growingEnvironmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework and client expectations
  • Produce polished materials and presentations, with strong written and verbal communication in English and expert use of PowerPoint, Excel and Bloomberg
  • Use generative AI tools responsiblyto support research, analysis and drafting-applying disciplined validation and confidentiality controls

What you'll bring
  • Significant experience in global equity markets (Private Banking Advisory / Product Specialist preferred; strong sell-side equity candidates also considered)
  • Degree in Finance or Economics
  • Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65) required, may consider contingency
  • CFA and/or Master's (highly preferred)
  • Advanced skills in Bloomberg, Excel and PowerPoint (and strong Microsoft Office capability)
  • Strong AI capability, with hands-on experience using gen AI tools appropriately in a regulated environment
  • Fluent English
