Job description

The Registered Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing oral hygiene services, preventive care, periodontal maintenance, and restorative support to patients of the health center.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventive services
  • Perform oral health assessments, charting, and diagnostic support
  • Assist with restorative procedures and chairside duties
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and preventive care
  • Maintain infection control and aseptic techniques
  • Document patient information in electronic dental records
  • Follow HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
  • Support overall clinic workflow and patient experience

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
  • Current state license to practice Dental Hygiene
  • Proficient in chairside assisting and patient care
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical records
